Y4O mission trips focus on Sharing the Gospel, Training Leaders and Caring for Orphans. While each mission trip offers a unique experience, all attendees will gain a cultural awareness and spread God’s love to children who have been removed from their homes or orphaned by the loss of their parents or abandonment. Our trips are designed for rising 9th grade students to young adults, with some specific trips for young adults only. These trips are all Gospel centered and each participant will grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.
Guatemala has quickly become one of our most impactful places to serve. Over 75% of the people in Guatemala live on less than $5 per day and vulnerable children find themselves orphaned or victims of child labor or sex trafficking to support their families.
Y4o partners with missionaries Tim and Sharie Martiny, Cada Nino and the Fundaninos orphanage near Guatemala City. Serving in an urban inner-city setting, you will build relationships with children at an after-school program, share the Gospel through home visitations and street evangelism, and share the love of Christ with 50 children at an orphanage where we lodge. If time allows, the team will either climb Picaya Volcano or visit the city of Antiqua.
This mission trip is the perfect option for you if you are ready to step outside of your comfort zone and share the Gospel message. Each one of our trips will help you grow deeper in your relationship with Christ and fulfilling your call to “Go”.
We are hopeful that there will be trips to Guatemala City, Guatemala this year! Our friends have missed us and we can’t wait to return to see them.

Guatemala is known as the land of eternal spring. It’s a beautiful country deeply rooted in the Spanish and Mayan culture.
Much like other developing nations, the society is male dominated and women hold a lower status.
Fundaninos Children's Home
While in Guatemala we stay at this children’s home. The accommodations are incredibly nice with all amenities. There are typically 50 children in the home ages 5-18, with some transitional students serving at the home. Meals are taken with the children whenever possible. Most children speak Spanish, but some will want to work on their English with you!
The Martinys & Cada Nino
The Martiny family has been serving in Guatemala for over 17 years. They run a non-profit, Cada Nino, that provides after-school programs several days per week at two different locations. They also serve at Fundaninos providing vocational training.
